About the Therapist
Brian W. Yoder, LPC, NMCF
is the founder and lead facilitator of Catalyst Journeys and an experienced therapist dedicated to growth, healing, and authentic human connection. A Licensed Professional Counselor since 2016, Brian works with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, and identity exploration. His approach is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed grounded in the belief that healing unfolds through relationship, insight, and skillful support. Among Colorado’s first fully Licensed Natural Medicine Clinical Facilitators, Brian has advanced training in psilocybin-, MDMA-, and ketamine-assisted therapy. He offers thoughtful preparation, ethical facilitation, and intentional integration—bringing a grounded, compassionate presence and a bit of humor to every healing journey.

Professional Training & Experience
Brian W. Yoder, LPC, NMCF is the founder and lead facilitator at Catalyst Journeys. Brian is an experienced therapist dedicated to supporting growth, healing, and authentic human connection. A Licensed Professional Counselor since 2016, Brian specializes in working with adults navigating many of life’s challenges including anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief, PTSD, chronic stress, relationship concerns, and identity exploration. His approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that healing unfolds through relationship, insight, and skillful support. He helps clients reconnect with resilience, develop practical tools for change, and move toward greater clarity, meaning, and fulfillment. Brian is among Colorado’s first fully Licensed Natural Medicine Clinical Facilitators and has received advanced training in psilocybin- and MDMA-assisted therapy through the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS), MAPS/Lykos, and InnerTrek, as well as Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy training through Fluence. He also holds a Master’s degree in Counseling from Colorado State University and brings relational depth, somatic awareness, and a grounded, attuned presence to every client encounter. Brian also brings extensive experience working as a wilderness guide in remote natural environments. His guiding background includes leading sea kayaking expeditions in Alaska, navigating the Himalayan rivers of Nepal, and working on commercial river expeditions through the Grand Canyon. These formative experiences in the natural world continue to inform his therapeutic presence—cultivating steadiness, attunement, respect for powerful inner landscapes, and a deep trust in the wisdom that emerges when people are supported through challenge, uncertainty, and transformation. Outside the therapy room, Brian is a passionate whitewater kayaker, river surfer, backcountry skier, and splitboarder. As the owner/operator of Catalyst Journeys- Brian supports clients with thoughtful screening, structured preparation, and intentional integration, offering grounded, ethical, and client-centered care within legal and professional frameworks. With compassion, relationship, skill-building, a range of therapeutic approaches, and a bit of humor, Brian is honored to walk alongside you on your healing journey.

Melanie Walker, PMHNP
Melanie is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and Licensed Natural Medicine Clinical Facilitator who offers an integrative, compassionate, and trauma-informed approach to psilocybin-assisted psychotherapy. She supports clients through preparation, facilitation, and integration, bridging medical expertise with ethical natural medicine practice to promote safety, presence, and meaningful healing. When desired, she provides medical clearance and thoughtful assessment of medications and health considerations to support informed decision-making. Her work prioritizes consent, choice, collaboration, and empowerment, with care that is sensitive to the ways trauma, identity, culture, and systemic inequities shape the healing process. Through steady, relational support, she walks alongside each person with humility, curiosity, and respect—honoring their lived experience and innate capacity for healing.

Kit Freedman
Kit Freedman is a Wyoming-based psychotherapist and Natural Medicine Facilitator in Training (NMFIT) in the state of Colorado. With over 20 years of experience exploring altered states of consciousness, he approaches this work with integrity, deep respect, and reverence, honoring
the wisdom, traditions, and sacred lineages that have stewarded these practices for generations. He completed his psychedelic-assisted therapy training through Memoru Center for Visionary Healing Arts (formerly Naropa University) in 2024.
